i was eating lunch in the break room at work yesterday and i said, "this is my last normal paycheck, from now on they're all going to be minuscule." my one co-worker said with a sarcastic laugh, "wow that's a big word." my other co-worker said, "i don't know if i can even spell that."

i could go on this long rant about the deplorable state of our modern vocabulary, but you might not understand half the words. (that was a joke)

here's a picture of the watch i found, which i learned later was a toy from mcdonalds:

i'm mainly writing this post as a distraction from my real work: finals. i have one left and it's a huge project that really squeezed my brain out of shape for a while. but i finished the back-breaking part and only have two sections left. whew. and after tomorrow it will all be over--for six weeks. and then it will begin again, a new semester, with more classes and more work. but i'm exciting to really get into the interpreting part of the program.

my sister will be here in less than a week for the christmas break! i'm really excited.

well, i guess there are no interesting or deep thoughts for today.

tschuess! (see you later in german)
